      <image:title>Branding - New branding for the Fire House in North Sydney</image:title>
      <image:caption>/THE CONCEPT The Fire House is a heritage listed bar located in North Sydney. They’re doing a massive refurbishment and the branding needed to be updated to match the new interior. I wanted to take the outside of the buildings shape and incorporate that into the logo. This will give the new branding a heritage feel while still remaining modern and current with the new interior design. I’ve created a landscape version of the logo that will be the main one used throughout, however if needed that can use the stacked version if space doesn’t allow for it. There is also a solid version of the logo, but this should be used sparingly. There will be brass fixtures used throughout the interior and I wanted to incorporate this into the logo, giving it that feel of an old fire house. I have created a pattern using the logo that I think will be perfect to flow throughout the bar. It can be printed onto menus, textiles, decals on windows or promotional material. It’s a pattern they can really own.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>/THE BRIEF Dan and Mike are brothers and came to me for a logo design for their new construction business. They wanted something that communicated strength, solidarity and construction. /THE RESULT The logo needed to feel strong. Using two different font weights made the logo feel like a building, it also conveyed strength and solidarity. The logo was then placed on their website, business cards, trucks, shirts, and site banners.       <image:caption>/THE BRIEF The brief was to come up with a logo design and style guide for Dymocks Tutoring while still incorporating the Dymocks logo. Dymocks Tutoring is part of the Dymocks Group, one of Australia’s oldest and most reputable family companies. They offer small group tutoring for students nationwide. /THE RESULT Trying to design something that said ‘tutoring’ and ‘education’ around the original Dymocks logo was a little tricky. It was important not to have something stuck on, but something that seamlessly was incorporated into the design. The graduation cap was a nice shape that fitted perfectly into the dip of the Dymocks logo and also said tutoring and education immediately.
